We recognize that choosing an MSH education is a meaningful commitment for families, and we are committed to keeping this opportunity accessible to students from a range of backgrounds. Financial assistance is available for students in Kindergarten through 9th grade through a combination of need-based aid and scholarships. Awards are determined based on demonstrated financial need and available funding.

NEED-BASED AID THROUGH FAST

MSH partners with the Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) program to manage need-based applications through a secure and confidential process. Once a family begins the admissions process, our team provides information and guidance for completing the FAST application, and financial aid decisions are made alongside admissions decisions whenever possible.

Returning MSH families may submit their confidential FAST application through January 31, and new families are considered from February 1 through March 31. There is a $48 application fee, paid directly to FAST by Visa or Mastercard. You will provide federal and state tax documents and answer questions about household expenses, all kept completely confidential. FAST uses this information to generate an Expected Family Contribution, giving MSH a standardized, equitable basis for awarding need-based assistance.

MSH SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS

The Montessori School of Huntsville offers a limited number of scholarships through the Kathy O'Reilly Memorial Scholarship Fund. These awards are funded through annual giving by current and alumni families, as well as community members committed to supporting access to a Montessori education.

ROCKET CITY SCHOLARSHIP GRANTING ORGANIZATION

MSH participates as a partner school through the Alabama Accountability Act and works with the Rocket City Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) to support access for eligible families in Kindergarten through 9th grade. Eligibility is determined according to household income guidelines and criteria established under the Accountability Act, and award amounts vary by program level, with applications generally opening each spring.

Because eligibility rules, income guidelines, and award amounts are set annually, we recommend confirming the current details directly with the Rocket City SGO income guidelines and the Alabama Scholarship Fund.

ALABAMA'S CHOOSE ACT
